Anna M. Benjamin

Working alongside some of the most talented attorneys in the business is both an honor and an incentive. It is my motivation to excel.

Anna Benjamin brings her knowledge of civil litigation and trial work to help divorcing spouses, parents and families in all aspects of family law cases. She has successfully represented clients in Champaign, Douglas, DeWitt, Ford, Macon, Mclean, Piatt, and Vermilion counties, as well as multiple cases in the Fourth District Appellate Court. Anna is also a court approved mediator and guardian ad litem for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, and she is trained in collaborative law for divorcing spouses.

She has handled numerous divorce and parentage cases, including contested issues of custody, visitation, child support, maintenance and the division of retirement assets. Anna also handles orders of protection, drafts prenuptial agreements and assists families in obtaining guardianship for disabled adults and minors.

Anna graduated with honors from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2004, and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law with honors in 2008. In law school, she was a Lincoln Scholar, teaching assistant, moot court editor and a case law update writer for the Illinois Bar Journal. Anna also participated in the College of Law’s Trial Team, earned a Distinction of Honors in legal writing and analysis, and she won the Trial Advocacy program's Best Advocate award in 2007.

Anna is a member of the Family Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Champaign County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Anna joined the firm as an associate in 2008 and was named a shareholder in January 2015. She is on the board of the Champaign County Humane Society and served on the board of the East Central Illinois Association of Women Attorneys for three years.

Outside of the practice of law, she enjoys playing and coaching volleyball with the Champaign Park District. She and her husband, Anthony, reside in Champaign with their son, AJ.
